Start the search
To start, write a Latin word in the search window and click “Search”.
If you want all the inflected forms of the word, write in the search window the “basic form” of the word (its lemma), which is the singular nominative for nouns and adjectives, first-person singular of the present indicative for verbs, select the option “All forms” and click “Search”.
You will get back all the occurrences of the word, which have been found in the collection of Latin corpora available at the site Corpus Corporum (please visit the site to see the complete list of corpora). Each occurrence is provided in its context, and the result is sorted in alphabetical order by author. Using the drop-down menus on the top of the result, you can filter the result by author, by work or by the inflected form of the word.
We wish to express our sincere thanks to the project Corpus Corporum, at the University of Zurich, for making freely available its collection of Latin corpora. We wish to thank also the NeMIS Laboratory at the Istituto di Scienza e Tecnologie dell’Informazione, an institute of the Italian National Research Council (CNR-ISTI), who has supported and participated in the development and implementation of the application on which this site is based.
